Damion Easley, with a 1-0 count, and 2 outs in the top of the 10th, deposited the ball into the left field stands, for the go ahead run, for the Mets. They held on to win 5-4. Its nice to go to sleep, and wake up with different results than expected. When I crashed last night, Perez, being his normal self, was having trouble getting people out, and gave up 3 runs, and the lead, to the Angels, 4-3. Well, with Reyes getting on in the 9th, David Wright came thru with a rbi single, that tied the score. Do you think all that BP helped him yesterday? Easley's home run made sure that the game didn't last into the west coast night, with his blast, and Wags came in and did his thing, for his 16th save. Now, its off to Colorado, after winning the last 2 series, and see them gain ground, against the Phillies, who lost. I'm sure that plane ride to Colorado is a lot different, then their plane ride out to the west coast, on sunday!!!!! Congrats to Jerry, for his first Met win, as a manager. I'm sure it feels good!! Hopefully, the first of many more this season!!!!!!

Coupled with the Phillies' loss, the Mets are now 5 and 1/2 games back. However, they are still in 4th place, and below .500.
They need to get over .500, and become better than Atlanta, to start to be taken seriously.
they need to get a winning streak going to prove there something more then a 500 team. Hoping Church can provide some pop when he gets off DL
I passed out too, thinking they might be in trouble. It's great to wake up at 3 am for a bile break and find out they won in the 10th. Amen to Mr. Church's return. He is sorely missed.
