It is reported that the notorious Mets bashing duo of Mike Francesa and Chris Russo, Mike & The Mad Dog, might be calling it quits.
In a report by Newsday's Neil Best, he states that it is believed that the often explosive relationship between the two afternoon drive time hosts has been more strained than in years past. Francesa gave an in-depth interview to Neil Best, stating, “No comment”. Russo, often with diarrhea of the mouth, went on to say that his contract goes on through the fall of '09, and he doesn't have the luxury of an out in his contract.
WFAN's Operation Manager Mark Chernoff would only say that the "Dynamic Duo" is under contract, and are expected to have “a nice long run...”

Please...how WFAN, the Mets' flagship station can have the Yankee lover and the Giants lover on in drive time, deliberately infuriating Mets' fans, baffles me.
