Roger Rubin, of the New York Daily News, has an article called, "Rangers soak it all in at Shea," which will make you smile. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/2008/06/14/2008-06-14_rangers_soak_it_all_in_at_shea-2.html
Go to the Daily News web site for the full article, including some great pictures. When you see the picture of Mike Pelfrey, do you think he's saying to himself, "Citi Field can't be built fast enough to replace this place."

Texas players dive across rain-soaked tarp after game is postponed till doubleheader at Shea Sunday.
In nine often-tempestuous seasons, Milton Bradley has heard his share of boos - on the road and, to his dismay, sometimes at home. But Saturday night the Rangers' cleanup hitter got something he never expected: cheers from opposing fans.
Five members of the Rangers starting lineup and a relief pitcher put on a show for Mets fans Saturday night at Shea and also showed New York what a team having fun looks like. After finding out the game had been postponed due to rain - it will be made up as part of a straight doubleheader beginning today at 1 p.m. - they made the drenched tarp on the field their personal Slip 'N Slide before exiting to chants of "Let's go Rangers!"
"I barely get cheers at home," said Bradley, who is known to have a temper.
The players who drew cheers Saturday night were right fielder Bradley, center fielder Josh Hamilton, second baseman Ian Kinsler, shortstop Michael Young, catcher Gerald Laird and reliever Ryan Rupe. The idea for the five-minute show of acrobatics was Kinsler's. "I said 'We need to do a tarp slide' and Milton said, 'If you want to get on 'SportsCenter' you should definitely do it,'" Kinsler said.
"We were saying this could be the last time someone does it at Shea Stadium," Hamilton said. "We're going to be the answer to a trivia question."
When the start time for the game passed, several Texas players, including Kinsler and Bradley, stood on the top step of the dugout for more than 20 minutes signing autographs for wet fans.
"It's Saturday night in New York City," Bradley said. "There were a lot of faithful fans. We wanted to give them something for their money. What New York saw from us tonight ... that epitomizes what this team is about."
(Great job, and kudos to the Rangers for having fun, and entertaining the fans. My question is…where were the Mets’ players ? Certain players know that the media and fans have been critical of them. Those players should have been out on the field, also having fun. It would have been good public relations.)
