The Mets had a chance to break the game open in the seventh inning.
The game was tied 3-3. The bases were loaded, with David Wright at the plate. He grounded out, and the game stayed tied.
Jayson Werth had an RBI single in the bottom of the 7th, and I saw a 4-3 Philly lead, and another potential heartbreaking loss.
But, the Mets came back, scoring in the 8th & the 9th, and allowing Tony Armas Jr. to pitch an inning, in a mop-up role, as the Mets eventually had a comfortable 9-4 lead, and victory.
After Friday's brutal loss, this win was sorely needed. Splitting the first two games in Philly is fine. They need to AT LEAST, split the last two in Philly.
