Mets Tied For First ! Score 4 In 9th ! Ten In A Row...

The Mets came from behind, 2 times tonight, against the Reds, and won 10-8. The Mets were down by 2, heading into the 9th inning.

David Wright had a clutch 2 run home run, in the 9th, to tie the score. The Mets wound up with 6 straight hits in the 9th, including Carlos Delgado's base hit, that scored Carlos Beltran, with the go ahead run.

Johan Santana didn't look good tonight, giving up 5 runs, in 4 innings of work. He had over 90 pitches, and he fell behind a lot. He couldn't make the pitch, that would get a needed out. The Mets were down 5-2, until Fernando Tatis hit a 2 run bomb, to make it 5-4. David Wright also had a clutch single, that brought home 2 runs, to make it 6-5.

The bullpen did fine, until Heilman gave up a hit, and 2 walks, one intentional. Jerry Manuel brought in Scott Schoenweis, who gave up a bases clearing double, that gave the Reds the lead, until the 4 bounced back in the 9th.

The Mets have an identical record, as the Phils and have won their last 10 in a row. They haven't been in first place, since April 19th, 3 months ago! Their last 10 game winning streak goes back to 1990.
