The NL East race, as of the All-Star break, has the Phillies (52-44) clinging to a half-game first place lead, over the Mets (51-44), winners of nine consecutive games.
The Marlins (50-45) lost yesterday, giving the Mets sole possession of first place.
The Marlins drop to third place, a game behind the Mets, and 1 and ½ games behind Philly.
