Season Tickets At Citi Field Won’t Be Cheap...

That’s an understatement, I know. I was surfing around, and I noticed that the football Giants laid out there license plan, for seats, this coming year, and it started me thinking, oh, man, prices for Citi should be coming out soon, at least to season ticket holders.

Well, I see that season ticket holders are already getting renewal notices. Here is one person’s reaction to what they received, here.

I don’t have season tickets, but, do get to my share of games, throughout the season. With the Mets playing a lot better, this in turn drives up the after market, for single tickets, so I’m sure if this was next year, I might be done already seeing the Mets live, which would be a damn shame! I’m one of those foolish Met fans that still go when they stink!

Just waiting to see what the prices will be, to the average fan, that might go to 5-10 games a year. Next year, it might be just 1-2, due to the prices, and, of course, the need to see the new stadium. Here is hoping that it won’t be done sitting on the sofa, all summer next year.

I am one of those Giant Season tix holder. They have been in my family for 50yrs. If my seat is exactly the same in the new stadium, my PSL will be $10,000.00 per seat. I have 4 seats. I just about make $40K per year. I am screwed. I have a lot of soul searching to do & figure out how to pay this nut before I completely give up my tix.

This is not right. $40K for a loyal 50yr fan is insane. The new stadium will be a license to PRINT money. Do the Giants & Jets really need to pass this cost on to their loyal fans.

It's just another way the TRUE fans get squeezed out & screwed.
