The Pirates just finished playing a series down in Philly where they lost 2 out of 3. They have lost 7 out of the last 10 games going into today’s contest. The Mets are 2 games out of first.
Today it’s Pedro Martinez (3-3) against Zach Duke (4-10)
Pedro is 9-4 lifetime against the Pirates.
Zach Duke is 2-0 against the Mets and the only Met batter in the line up who has had any luck against the left hander is David Wright who is batting over .300 in limited at bats. Endy Chavez is 3 for 4 against Mr. Duke.
