Mets bullpen drop another . 5-2

John Maine only was able to pitch 5 innings today but left the game with the lead.

It didn't last long . Brian Stokes gave up a 2 run shot in the 6th to Adam LaRoche and Duaner Sanchez and Pedro Felicano couldn't keep the Pirates from scoring in the 8th and the Mets were defeated today 5-2. Snapping a 6 game winning streak. This is the 2nd time they have lost on a Monday day game to the Pirates. NO MORE Monday day games!!!!!

The Mets were held to 2 runs even though they were getting men on base. They left 9 men in scoring position with not recording a single hit. That hurts.

Duaner Sanchez couldn't record an out when he came in to relieve Pedro Feliciano who gave up the go ahead run in the 8th.

The Mets, on a day where Jose Reyes had to sit on his hands in the dugout and deal with a day off, only mustered 6 hits.

The Mets head home after a 6-1 road trip to face the Braves Tuesday night.
