An Open Letter To The Los Angeles Dodgers

Dear Joe Torre, Staff, and Players:

We here at 24 Hours From Suicide...A Day In The Life Of A Met Fan want to thank you for your generosity in beating the Phillies in four straight.

Now we know that you were only doing your job, but the way you handled them in such a professional, decisive manner was truly appreciated by Mets fans.

We have had our own difficulties with you, namely Mike Scioscia in 1988, as well as Tommy Lasorda, Kirk Gibson, Orel Hershiser, etc., but we are willing to bury the hatchet...until October anyway.

Please accept this letter as a step forward in our relationship. You keep whoppin' our rivals in the NL East, and we will try and do the same to Arizona and your rivals in the NL West.

We know it's been a long time since we have corresponded in this way, and the standings have changed since we last saw each other. Pictures are enclosed.

Respectfully yours,

24 Hours From Suicide...A Day In The Life Of A Met Fan
