Carlos Beltran flew around the bases and got the arm wave to head home from first on Ryan Church's ball that went to the wall in left center field. As he slid into home plate the Umpire was close to the plate expecting a close play but the ball was cut off. Beltran's slide took out the umpire and his knee collided with the ump's foot and Beltran was slow to get up.
He went out in the field in the 8th inning but took himself out in the 9th saying he didn't feel to stable in the knee.
After the game it was revealed that he has a bruise behind his knee and is listed day to day.
