Church's grand slam in 1st is enough and the Mets sweep

Great way to start a ball game. A couple of hits and a Grand Slam for Ryan Church. His biggest hit since coming off the DL . See the video of it here

That was plenty at that point for the Mets but Brian Schneider added a solo shot in the same inning and the Mets went on to beat the Brewers 9-2 and sweep the series .

Ollie Perez got into a jam in the first inning by giving up a walk and and a single but was able to get out of it. He had 5 walks and was lifted with 2 outs in the seventh and wound up giving up 2 runs on 5 hits.

The Mets bullpen gave up 1 hit the rest of the way. I think the fact that the Brewers haven't faced the Mets since April helped out the Mets bullpen.

Nick Evans had a pinch hit 2 rbi single to plate 2 and David Wright had a sac fly to score the final run.

Ryan Braun left 6 men on base and struck out 2 times.

The Mets complete the road trip 6-2 and are on a 4 game winning streak. They head home to face the Phillies on Friday!
