This afternoon's game between the Mets and Phillies was rained out. The announcement came in early this afternoon, around noon time, even though it wasn't raining at the time. The Mets have decided to have a Day-Night doubleheader tomorrow, with today's game being scheduled for 2:15 tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon.
Long Island Met Fan, Jobu, and I were on our way to Shea when word came down of the postponement. If all goes well, Long Island Met Fan and I will be there tomorrow afternoon.
Although we were quite disappointed by the rainout, the three of us here at 24 Hours From Suicide...A Day In The Life Of A Met Fan had a nice time chowing down chicken wings while lamenting about the weather, and our hopes for the Mets.
It was a nice time considering our disappointment. We look forward to tomorrow's game, and if all goes well, Long Island Met Fan and metsfan73 will be there rooting for our Mets.
