Might The Mets Need A New RF In 2009?

Yesterday on WFAN, Jon Heyman and Mike Francessa discussed the Mets, and part III of their annual disappointment.

One thing discussed was that Ryan Church was unhappy. I never knew that Church was unhappy. Francesa said that Church was disappointed with New York and the team. He didn’t discuss if it was his teammates, or how the Mets handled his whole concussion situation.

Heyman went on to say that he didn’t think that Omar was going to change the Mets core.

HOPE this will just blow over this was on adam rubins blog a month ago.

"Church revealed that his wife Tina was driven to tears by the standing ovation the Shea faithful gave before his first at-bat (after returning from the disabled list). The hard-nosed Church said the fans? embrace cemented his desire to spend the rest of his career in Flushing. He?s even open to signing a long-term contract now to wipe away his arbitration years.?"
