Let The Games Begin...

In Marty Noble’s article on mlb.com, Pitching atop Mets' offseason list, he indicates that Omar Minaya isn’t looking to clean house. Noble states that Heilman and Schoenweis will most likely be on the trading block, but despite poor seasons for both, Omar will not sell them off at discounted rates.

Pitching is Omar’s top three priorities, and I hear on WFAN this morning, that he will begin a courtship with
Francisco 'K-Rod' Rodriguez.

Noble notes that if Rodriguez’s price tag remains at $15 million annually, the Mets will most likely look to Brian Fuentes as a fall back option.

On the
Orlando Hudson front, which I am hoping the Mets pursue, the Mets are luke-warm at best. Unless they can unload Luis Castillo, the Mets will be non-players in the Hudson game.
