Orlando Hudson next stop NY?

Well it would be nice to have him here. He is up for arbitration with the D-Backs. From what has been circulated around the web he most likely will decline it . He is a Type A player so the D-Back would be able to obtain a first round draft pick from the Mets if he signs with them. See that is something the Mets need to work on. The D backs will also recieve 1 from Adam Dunn. So they at least get something for them.

Will the Mets be interested in signing Orlando Hudson and have Luis Castillo as a back up? I mean who ever the Mets trading partner might be won't be expected to eat much of Castillos salary so just keep him. It is not like they can get much in return for him. Yeah its a pretty pricey proposition but why give him up unless you find a team that will take most of his salary. If you find someone who will pay most of his salary then go for it even if you have to take a box of baseballs in trade. It wouldnt be the first time.
