Ahhh a welcome site will be in Pt St Lucie when Jose Valentin shows his face. The NY Post is reporting that the Mets signed Jose Valentin to a minor league deal that is worth $800,000 if he makes the Major League roster.
Jose will give Luis Castillo a run for his money . Hopefully the layoff of not playing since June of last year will not hurt him. He gave the Mets some added punch in 2006 when Kaz Matsui was a bust and Jose came in and stroked 18 home runs. We wish him well. Hopefully he will rub off on some of the young guys in the locker room.
