U S Govt is on the war path. Miguel Tejada is charged in lying to investigators about steroids.

With everyone taking a side on the A-Rod story while listening to WFAN I heard Mike mentioned that another story was crossing the wire and this one involved Miguel Tejada.

The Washington Post is
reporting “ that Federal prosecutors accused Tejada of making misrepresentations to congressional staffers during an interview in a Baltimore hotel room focusing on the prevalence of steroids in the game.”

He is suppose to be in court in Washington D C tomorrow and there is word out that he might be getting a plea deal.

Baseball might want to swipe the steroids issue under the table but the government will not let them. Looks like it will get worse before things settle down.

Not to take the side of either MLB or MLB players, but they are all in it together.
Players went for an illegal edge, and the powers of baseball, from the commissioner on down turned a blind eye because it yielded huge profits.
It's a shame that the Federeal Government of the US has to police baseball because baseball has an owner as the commissioner. As far as I'm concerned, Bud Selig, Don Fehr, Gene Orza, and all - are just as guilty as the players. Players were abusers, the Players Association and MLB were enablers!
