Former Met LF Moises Alou might have reached the end of the road. Alou, 42, who is a free agent, hasn’t received an offer he is willing to accept. That being said, his appearance for the Dominican Republic in the WBC might be his last on the professional stage.
Alou who has battled injuries over the last three years, knows he is incapable of playing the field every day. He is not willing to accept a role as a pinch hitter/utility player, and no American League team has shown interest.
Unless there is a dramatic change, this WBC will be the last time Moises Alou steps into the batter’s box.
