Mike Pelfrey on track to pitch this weekend. Latest on Jon Neise

Mike Pelfrey took the mound early this morning and had a decent bullpen session. The Mets starter felt alot better then he did last week when he had felt the muscle strain in his leg.

With him feeling better he is more then likely going to pitch in a game this saturday.

Good news to have on a slow news day since most of the Mets stay away on another off day which is unsual but due to the WBC making the spring training season longer.

John Franco who was a guest of Ron and Kevin on Mondays SNY telecast spoke about the fact that he was helping Jon Neise with his changeup. Neise was slowing down his arm and Franco was helping him change the grip on the ball and telling Neise that will take care of the velocity.

Neise pitched against some of the minor league players today and gave up 1 hit and a walk.
