Starting Mets catcher, Brian Schneider, will be out of action indefinitely. Schneider was removed from the line-up Wednesday’s against the Braves when he complained of knee soreness.
An MRI revealed that Schneider has a strained right posterior capsule and right calf.
It is not believed that this is a long-term injury, and Schneider has reported that he is feeling better today after taking anti-inflammatory medication.
Not knowing the origin of the injury, Schneider said, "It was really weird. I don't know what happened. I don't know what made it flare up."
