It was nice to have a weekend not worrying about the Mets. It is also nice to see the Mets beating teams they should beat. They have a 7 game win streak which is the biggest streak they have had since there 10 gamer last July.
Mets start a homestand now against the Braves who are playing well on the road. The Braves are 10-7 on the road and tonights match up is our best against there best with Lowe vs Santana.
With this last 3 game series it is important to set a tone before they behing a west coast swing of playing the Giants and the Dodgers who are both playing well at home. Then its off to Boston.
The Mets "core" is having a solid month so far. Delgado even with his hip is hitting over .400 in the month of May. He took one off the knee yesterday but we hope he is in the lineup tonight. Wright and Beltran both have 10 rbis this month and are hitting .364 and .343 respectively. Reyes is showing signs of life with his 3rd straight multi hit game. That was the Pirates though. Lets see how good the Mets feel after the Braves leave town after Wednesday.
