Mets lose 3 out of 4 to the lowly Diamondbacks.

The Mets fell short last night in there comeback and lost 6-5. They did have Sheff on in the 8th at 2nd base but were not able to get him home. Lets go back to when Pagan hit his triple to score Santos. The Mets had men on 3rd with 1 out and failed to get that run across when it was 6-1.

Kudos to Redding and the bullpen who held the D backs scoreless over 6+ innings after Figgy blew up. It was nice to see the Mets fight back and not lay down. D Murphy hit a blast into the Pepsi porch to bring the Mets back to 6-5.

If your watch tthe game on Sny you heard Keith talk about how On the plane ride to houston that Sheeff spoke with Parnell about pitching inside to hitters. Sheff has no problem talking to the young guys. He has been worth every penny of the $300k the Mets have to pay him.

Mets face the Cardinals with Matt Holliday tonight in a 2 game set.

Sheffield has also given advice to Francoeur about his grip when he bats, and Francoeur has been a gem thus far.
