More On Wagner - Boston

According to Bart Hubboch - NY Post via Twitter, Billy Wagner would most likely accept a trade to Boston. Wagner, who most likely wouldn't close because of Jonathan Papelbon, is looking for the chance to not only pitch in the post season, but possibly pitch in a World Series.

Wagner said, "Like we all know, I'm not getting any younger and the window's starting to shut. You want to have that chance, and take it if you get it."

It is believed that Minaya would want at least one quality prospect in return, which could potentially kill any deal between
NY and Boston (see Gary Sheffield).

The Mets have until 1 PM Tuesday to work out a trade, allow Boston to acquire him in part of a salary dump, or pull him back.
I can't see the Mets pulling Wagner back. It appears if they are in salary dump mode.
