Keith and Ron missed there buddy Gary.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact the Mets were down 4-0 after 1 inning but the booth was lacking something last night. The Mets did nothing for the first 6 innings of the game and Gary chiding Keith was missed. Without there side kick Gary Cohen there were times last night that Ron and Keith seemed a little forced for conversation. The humor that invades the both on a minute by minute basis was mostly gone except for a couple of comments by Keith making fun of himself.

The insight of Ron talking pitch selection and Keith talking about batting in certain situations was as usual priceless but that was the them that went throughout the game. When Keith talking about Rusty’s little burgundy book about what pitches tip there pitches was good and I hoped they would have delved into it more. When the Mets started to rally in the 7th inning Gary's enthusiasm was sorely missed.

With the Mets not really in the hunt for anything and the Mets losing another game I am sure it was tough for the 2 of them to spark it up. Look forward to Gary comments during tonight telecast.
