Last day of dreadful season

Maybe we should have realized that when the Padres Jody Gerin led off the first game at Citi Field that this year would be doomed.

Today marks the end of the woeful 2009 season. What positives to take off this year are hard to come by. I would like to think seeing Josh Tole play showed you at least the Mets have someone down in the minors that can play this game.

Even though I do not think the Mets should have Mr Murphy as there first baseman in 2010 it has been a nice surprise in the last 6 weeks with him hitting for extra base and home run power. Would like to see a little bit more of the walks.

Pat Misch has been a nice surprise and I hope the Mets have him stacked in the minors for next year.

Did anyone see that Freddy Garcia pitched a great game for the Whitesox last night? Hysterical if you ask me.

All in all 1 game left and then 180+ days to play GM. Oh joy.
