The off season rumor mill doesn’t take long to start! Before 9am on the first day of the off season Jon Heyman via WFAN is reporting that the Mets might be interested in giving Backman another shot.
Backman contacted the Mets and the Mets might be interested in giving him a shot to manage one of the minor league teams. The Mets have openings right now in the rookie league and the double AA Binghamton Mets.
I am sure there will be some confirmation of this later today when the Mets discuss there coaching staff .

Great move by the Mets!! He is a great motivator and teacher!! He will light a FIRE under these guys!! Players LOVE playing for him!!
AWESOME!!! He has won 3 championships in the minors!! He is a great in game manager also. We need a fiery manager, and he is one of our own.
