Wally Backman to manage Single A

In a report by Adam Rubin it looks like the Mets former firey secondbaseman Wally Backman will be brought back to manage the Mets single A team that was managed by Julio Franco last year.

Also Tim Tuefel is moving up the rungs and will be managing the Double AA squad in Binghamton.

A lot of fans love Backman and his style of play and it might bode well for the Mets to have that type of Manager to mold the boys that come up the ranks.

There is also chat about bring in Mookie Wilson and John Stearns. Wilson has always been a fan favorite. No word on his or Sterns positions.
