Bengie Molina might be a Met by the end of the week.

Fox Sports has mentioned that Free agent catcher Bengie Molina has lowered his asking price, which in turn will I am sure make the Mets move on the free agent Catcher.

Molina is now willing to sign for two years. The Mets will probably give him that deal even though the slow footed catcher was more then likely offered 1 year plus the ability to guarantee the 2nd previously.

The Mets have Josh Thole as a possible catcher of the future. 2 years to me is fine for Molina since who knows if Thole can be more of a bat threat. Plus they don't need to rush the guy.

Molina batted .265 with 20 home runs and 80 RBIs for the Giants last year.

So maybe we will have some news about Molina later in the week and then set sights on a pitcher and a thumper off the bench.
