David Wright keeps his corporate image in interview on WFAN.

Have to tell you it would be nice if Wright threw us a curve once in a while.

Mr Wright spent a little more then an hour with Mike Francesa in WFAN studios today and as usual Wright was the usual corporate guy. Couple of points from the interview.

He loves Daniel Murphy. He thinks he is a nose to the grind stone type of player and will do anything that is asked of him. With the Mets landing Bay if the Mets had Murphy playing first he thinks Murph will be fine.

He did make some adjustments in playing at Citi Field. He knows that being a gap to gap guy he loses homers at the Mets new home but he also thinks he expanded his strike zone a bit too much.

Was more upset about the Mets collapse in 2007 then in 2008. Loves playing in New York. Thinks Pelfrey can be dominant and he has no problem taking a leadership role on this team.

Francesa did ask him why drug free players don’t talk to the union about how they get included with the bad rap due to steroids and of course he didn’t have an answer.

To here the entire eggciting interview. Check out
WFAN.com which should have the interview up shortly.
