Jerry Manuel had to smile at least once today from ear to ear. When Jose Reyes on his first pitch he saw in the Mets intersquad game whacked a ball that allowed him to motor around the bases for a triple. The first of many triples this spring .
Of course Jerry was also more likely to saying to himself slow down slow down Jose dont push it!!!!
Tomorrow starts the first game for the Mets and the end of no baseball games now for the next 6 + months its about time.
Dont forget to set your DVR's since SNY will have the first spring game tuesday afternoon against the Atlanta Braves. The Mets pregame starts at 12:30. Almost worth playing hookey from work to sit home and watch!
