Crashing end to 8 game win streak.

Well the Mets had to lose sometime. They had enjoyed a 9-1 run at home and beat the Phillies Friday 9-1 so sooner or later you knew it was coming. If the Mets were going to lose someone like Roy Halladay was likely the culprit. Did it have to be 10-0 thought?

Those 2 plays by Reyes and Cora changed the game and both had to do with Mets new nemesis Chase Utley. Reyes had his soft liner hit the heel of his glove and it fell out for a hit. Then with Utely in second and Ryan Howard on first there was a ball that went over Cora's head that he had drop off his glove. Utley ran once he saw the ball in the air figuring no shot Cora catches it. If Cora does catch it the Mets have a easy double play and basically out of the inning.

The Mets couldn't get anything going against Halladay. They had Bay and Blanco at 3rd early in the game but couldn't get that 2 out hit that seem to come at ease while playing up until that point. Halladay pitched a complete game on 3 hits and the streak was over.

Tonight they can start a new streak against Moyer.
