Mets score 6 in 8th: Animal and Monkey boy lead the team

With the Mets down 6-2 in the 8th it was time for the Mets to break out from there drought of scoring runs with men in position. The stat was shown on SNY all night that the Mets were 1 for 12 Tuesday and night and 2 for 12 at that point on Tuesday.

Well the Mets scored 6 runs in the 8th inning, capped by the Mets new guy dubbed the "animal" from Manager Jerry stroked a double to get the Mets a lead of 7-6.

Niese didnt have it last night and gave up 5 walks and had Acosta relieve him who gave up 1 hit. Then on the brink of walking in a run was able to get out of the jam. Mets bullpen shut the door again with Takahashi pitching 2 scoreless and 1 from Valdes who was the benefit of all those runs.

Wright had 2 doubles to right field and a single. Bay had 3 hits and a walk and 1 rbi.

Barajas hit one off the wall that plated 2. Frenchy had 2 rbi's

Alex Cora layed down a key bunt to get on base. Chris Carter hit a pinch hit double over the head of Dunn on a changeup to keep the Mets 6 run rally going. He already has more rbi's then Matthews Jr in 1 at bat.

Ike Davis went 0-5 but almost had his first grand slam in the 8th that went over the foul pole but the umps called it foul and after reviewing it that is where it stayed.

He then made a monkey boy catch to end the game as K Rod was seen shaking his head in disbelief!

Great come from behind win from the Mets!! Kudos to Riggleman for taking out Olsen after only 82 pitches. His bullpen this time was not ready!
