Game starts at 4pm today. So figure by 12 noon or 1pm we will know how Ollie has decided the Mets fate.Will he go down or wont he? Will he stop being selfish and head to Buffalo with his 12M salary and his 88MPH fastball and work on things. Or will the Mets have to send down Dessens or Meijia?
There is some chatter that Perez might go on the DL with a knee injury today. Whatever the case Perez seems to not get it. Its been what 2 weeks and the Man has down just mop up duty. What has he done to make himself a better player? All he has shown the Mets and his teammates is that he only cares about himself. The Mets need Ollie to grow up and realize that the Minors is not the end of the world. Stash your pride and go to Buffalo and find yourself.
If Ollie doesn't go down the Mets really need to consider releasing the 36M man. Why do they want someone on there team to force there hand and put himself in front of the team? The 36M is spent. It is gone. The deal was a mistake. Time to move on and learn from it. Dont be like Ollie and just realize sometimes things dont work out. Maybe time for the Mets to be a man about the deal since Ollie cant.
