Now that Takahashi will be pitching either long relief or be the set up guy to K Rod the Mets need a starter when they face the Phillies this Saturday.
The Mets might finally let deserving Pat Misch get a start . The Lefty has pitched well for the Bisons he is 11-4 with a ERA of 3.23 . He has only walked 24 batters in 150 innings while striking out 99. He has 2 complete games and 1 shutout. He pitched good for the Mets last year when they played meaning less games towards the end of the season and even 1 hit the Marlins.
Mets would have to make a roster move and they also might have Sean Green ready by the weekend so if they don't want Misch to pitch it could be Valdes.
