Good night for Gee and Davis as Mets win

Yeah ok so we had a little drama in the 9th with the tieing runners on.  For once though I figured the Mets would escape with a win and then there was a double play and boom the Mets had a 4-1 victory for Dillon Gee.

Mets did all there scoring in teh first 2 innings and then of course couldn't get much more then that as gee motored through the Nats lineup.  Davis hit a 3 run  moon shot in the first in the second deck and Gee had his first major league hit and rbi in the second and the Mets were done scoring against the rookie Maya who seemed to calm down after the 2nd inning.

Gee was able to throw alot of strikes and unlike Pelfrey didnt have many deep counts and pitched to contact which helped with the Nats aggressiveness.  He gave up a home run to pinch hitter Willie Harris for their first hit of the game in the 6th for the Nationals.

Mets send Dickey to the mound this afternoon against former Met Livan Hernandez.  Look for Reyes to sit another day and Wright to back at 3rd according to post game Jerry.
