As we start Friday we see that MrRubin is not doing his usual series previews, Lennon is taking pics of the empty lines at the shake shack and manager Jerry only has 3 more post game interviews to answer stupid questions before he can go back to Sacremento and wonder where his next job his. He shouldn't be the only one worrying about his job. The Mets lost 3 out of 4 to the Brewers and without Beltran now this is just like '09 when the Mets were 22 games under. Ok so they wont be 22 games under but tonight they have Misch, Saturday Valdes and Pelfrey tries again to win # 16 on Sunday. Then Citi goes dark until next april. Who will be at its helm ? Will it be Backman? Will it Melvin? Will Jerry get another chance?
The problem I have here is that this team as well as the brass needs a overall. They build this pretty cool park to see a game and for their 2nd year in a row by the end of the season you can have your own section but bring your own food since the concessions are closed! Hey how about 1/2 prices beers or $1 hot dogs. At least we can feast while we watch the Mets close out the season losing 6 in a row! Death cant come fast enough!
