The Mets play the Astros today in Pt St Lucie. Sometime this morning the new Mets manager fresh off his bus ride to watch Ollie survive just barely against these same 'Stros will meet with Dan Warthen and Sandy Alderson to decide what to do with Mr Perez. Many a scribe wants to see Ollie gone.See Harper's latest on Ollie and Beltran here .
I just wonder if Sandy called the Brewers and ask them if there interested with Zach boy going down during a basketball pick up game. Anything to see if they can get something for Ollie.
Collins has said that Ollie has a tough time warming up quick in the bullpen so he might be getting a small look in the pen.
If the Mets can get him into the pen maybe some team will have an injury in the next 2 weeks that might warrant a look at Ollie if can throw strikes from the pen. The Mets seem to want to get something out of the lefty before they tell him see yah.
