Worlds Collide-F Mart, Wright and Bay all homer

What a night in Houston for the Mets. They were shut out for most of the game until Jason Bay whacked a bomb over just about everything in Left field. Yes Jason Bay homered!  If you didnt see it check it out here 

Bay gave the Mets life and then F Mart brought the game within reach with a 2 run pinch hit bomb to right off the Astros starter Norris. He had the Mets covered for the first 6 innings .

Then in the 8th David Wright who as usual did nothing up to that point actually came up with a clutch 2 run home run to put the Mets in the lead for good 5-4  Mets box score . It was only the 2nd time in 18 games that they won a game trailing going into the 7th inning. Never thought I would see a day where F-Mart,Wright and Bay go yard in same game.

Funny quote from Collins after the game as per Mr Rubin

“I just asked [Carlos] Beltran when he was going to show up,” Collins said, alluding to the right fielder’s quiet 1-for-4 series opener, which came a day after homering three times.

Since the Mets started the season at 5-13 they are 13-7 and now are just 2 games under .500. Pat Misch who came in and pitched 1 and 2./3 scoreless innings got the win. Gee had a tough time finding the plate but battled .
