According to MLB Trade Rumors, the Mets will not only bring Jeff Francoeur back, but will also look to sign him to a long term deal.

Now all the saber-geeks will go into detail on how poor his OBP is, that if he farts in the morning before he gets dressed on a day game on a Wednesday in an odd numbered year during the Coriolis Effect , he hits .013, blah, blah , blah.

My argument to those who believe he isn't a real good ball player is that you didn't see him play for three months for the Mets. He showed passion, tremendous defense (despite a couple of errors in the early going), vigor, and a gamemanship we haven't seen in this team since Paul LoDuca.

I am glad they are not only bringing him back, but are looking to make him a Met long
term.
