Bad Contract Swap Luis Castillo out Pat Burrell in ?

The Mets of course have made it known that they want to get rid of Luis Castillo. This is so they can free up 2nd base for a player like Orlando Hudson. Castillo is coming off a decent year on a bad team .

One of the rumors that just turns my stomach is having the Mets involved in a deal that would send Castillo to the Cubs who would unload Milton Bradley to the Rays and the Mets would get Pat Burrell. Yes we need a malcontent who cant field and doesn’t have the power to play left field at Citi Field. No thanks. Castillo had a decent year and honestly the Mets would lose out no matter how much they would save.

The other rumor is a swap of Castillo and Juan Pierre of the Dodgers. Yeah again we would get a player who isn’t know for power playing in the outfield. No thanks.

If we are stuck with Castillo I would live with it. He was the best player on a horrible team. If your going to unload Castillo get a pitcher not a bad contract for a player that really doesn’t have the power the Mets need.
