According to Mr Everywhere John Heyman reporting for Si The Mets have upped there offer to Bay . The Mets are giving the option for Bay for a 5 year deal but at lower salary. So right now its 5 years at 75M or 4 years at 65M . I do not like offering Bay 5 years.
I think it’s a mistake. 5 years for Bay is too much.
Omar is also planning to speak to Boras about Holliday since Omar thought at this point Bay would be locked up and wants to make sure he has is hand in 1 of the 2 free agents pockets.
