Jobu says OMAR IS NEXT…Here come Jerry’s Kids

Scribed by our friend, Mr. Jobu....

After what has transpired in yesterday's columns, and what we saw at the press conference, it is safe to say that Omar is delusional…During his press conference yesterday, he said that he thinks he has a championship team….I love some of the pieces, but championship…let's get real. We need to beat ATL & PHIL on a regular basis. It doesn’t matter who the manager is. The front office looks horrible in this situation. The Mets had won the last 3 of 4. If he wasn’t going to be the manager, why did he wait till 3 am EST? He should have done it early this morning at 9:00 am EST. Our friend, Adam Rubin, of the NY Daily News was spot on!!!! He called it. Kudos, Adam. Omar also says he has the final say…lousy timing, and a bad job, Omar. Next time, pull the trigger quicker. You best realize, YOU'RE NEXT!!!

Now, I don’t like that someone gets fired, but it’s a fact of life. If you don’t do a good job in the sports world, the manager is always the first to go. You can’t get rid of 25 players. With that said, I am actually glad that Rick, The Jacket, was let go, too. He is really out there (like on Mars). He will be forever abused for the Scott Kazmir and Heath Bell debacles. He had no idea how to use them, or, get them to reach their full potential. Goodbye, Jacket.

Watching Jerry in the press conference he seems to be saying all the right things. Maybe, there is hope? I have never heard more that 2 words out of Jerry’s mouth, but, kudos to him. He seems very open to change, and integrating Oberkfell & Warthen into the process. Alomar gets to ride the pine, and sit with Jerry.

On a side note, it’s 2008. Don’t you think that we can have the audience miked in order to hear the questions that Omar is answering? Isn’t that technology available? I don’t have to see the reporter’s faces, but I would like to hear the questions. Are we still in the Stone Age?

Jobu has some wise words, and I can't agree more, with the press being miked..It's ridiculous, knowing that that this was such huge news, and it's not like it was set up at the last moment..Just another way of proving the Mets don't have their act together..

Jobu, love the picture !!!

Omar is drinking the corporate Kool-Aid, as spoiled rich kid, Jeffy, a.k.a., Mr. Lucky Sperm, is playing the role of the Rev. Jim Jones, of Guyana. Omar is in full spin mode, only no one among the media, newspapers, TV, radio, and bloggers, are drinking the Kool-Aid.

Agree that the Mets have a nucleus of players to build around, but, at least 6-10 of the current Mets should not be on this team. The Mets need to change the puzzle pieces, because the current batch does not fit. The chemistry on this team, needs to change.

Maybe a simple human resources test, such as, "habla ingles ?" si or no ? If si, move on and hire the next applicant. LOL !!!

Omar clearly has the bulls-eye on his back, for creating the combination of players on this roster, and for continuing to employ Bernazard, who has created an environment, in which no manager can succeed. Bernazard should be fired IMMEDIATELY !

All the Mets needed to do was watch any talk show, in which the host takes questions from the audience. Bring a few wireless microphones to the press conference, and pass them around, to each person that wants to ask a question.

I've read and listened to so many people the past two days, that I forgot the sources, but some of the better quotes, were that the Mets could screw up a trip to the Playboy mansion, and the Mets could screw up a two-car funeral procession.

Fire Bernazard, and hire some public relations people, to mix the catastrophe that's been created.

BTFS is soooo correct. First off I HATE Kool-Aid. Especially Corporate Kool-Aid. And If Berny stays, whatch how much uglier the situation gets and how bad the P.R. nightmare will become. By the way P.R. stands for Public Relations and not anything latin.
