It is reported on tonight's telecast of the Mets/Mariners game that the Mets have acquired Andy Phillips. Phillips is a right handed hitting first baseman with minimal power. He last played with the Cincinnati Reds...Hmmm same place Omar's assistant Krivsky came from.
He is a much needed right handed bat. Hopefully he will be able to split time with Carlos DelStatue, and his defense can't be any worse...can it?

Hopefully his lateral movemnet is more than three inches!
It's about time...anyone is better than DelStatue. How great would it be if he had key hits vs. the yanks this weekend.
