The Bullpen – Why Can’t The Mets Win 10-2 ???
Pedro Martinez had a yeoman effort, 105 pitches, getting out of jams in the 2nd inning and 4th inning, before leaving a 10-2 lead to the bullpen.
Is it possible to go to sleep at night, after watching a comfortable win ?
Tony Armas Jr. pitched 1 and 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs, now it’s 10-5.
Aaron Heilman entered, also pitching 1 and 1/3 innings, and allowed 2 runs, now it’s 10-7.
Billy Wagner entered for the bottom of the ninth, at 10-7, a save situation, and allowed 2 runs, to make this a heart-stopping 10-9 win.
Do we need to summon the ghosts of Mets’ past ? Where’s Hank Webb ? Or, even Bob Myrick ?
Why is it that when the Mets score 10 runs, they allow nine ? Or, when they score one run, they allow two ?
Do I really need "agita" every time I sit down to “relax” and enjoy a Mets’ game ?

I can't tell you how frustrated I am. I invest several hours a night watching Jerry's Kidz and they make me crazy. Can we get an easy win just once!!! I have been out of touch enjoying cigars & rum and going crazy watching this team.
