They Win The Damn Thing By A Score Of 10 to 9…

On July 25th 1990, the Mets led 10-2 over Philly.

The Phillies scored seven runs in the ninth inning.

The final out prompted a famous call by the beloved, legendary, late Hall of Fame broadcaster, Bob Murphy, "The game is over. The Mets win it. The Mets win the ballgame. They win the damn thing by a score of 10 to 9."

We miss you, Bob. Thank you for the memories, and a convenient excuse to remember you, after another aggravating Mets win vs. the Phillies.
