Mets Over .500 For First Time Since June 5th…THIS YEAR…

Does it seem like you’ve been asleep for years, just awakened, and FINALLY, the Mets are over .500 ?

Of course you remember June 5th, 2008, it was National Gingerbread Day.

It was also the 225 year anniversary of the first hot air balloon flight, by the Montgolfier brothers, in 1783.

With the Mets’ win over Philly last night, here’s the updated NL East division race…

Philly (48-42), 1st place, lost 3 in a row, at home vs. St. Louis, tonight.

Florida (46-43), 2nd place, 1 and ½ behind Philly, won 2 in a row, at San Diego, tonight.

Mets (45-44), 3rd place, 2 and a half games behind Philly, won 3 in a row, at home vs. San Francisco, tonight.

Atlanta (42-48), 4th place, 6 games behind Philly, lost 7 of 10, at Dodgers, tonight.
