After throwing in a simulated game Saturday morning, Billy Wagner felt discomfort in his left elbow.
Wagner was supposed to come off the DL on Monday, but after the news of his tender left elbow, he will not be coming off the DL as was expected.
Original reports on Wagner's session were positive. But Wagner's discomfort in the elbow, after being placed on the 15 day DL for forearm soreness, is too much for the Mets to gamble on. He will not come off the DL on Monday.
