Billy Wagner has soreness in his left forearm. Because of this, John Maine was put on the 15 day DL, and the Mets purchased the contract of Eddie Kunz from AA Binghamton.
An MRI will be performed on Wagner's left arm on Tuesday in NY. Although Wagner wasn't put on the disabled list, he is, at this point, unable to pitch.
Once again, the Mets are holding off disabling a player, thus reducing the amount of able bodied players on their roster. The Mets will wait until the results of Wagner's MRI before making a decision. I just hope they don't botch this like they have so many times in the past with Tom Glavine, Carlos Beltran, Ryan Church, etc.
