Sometimes it can get painful. A game that seems to be going your way and then the 9th inning rears its head. Why do wins have to be so tough sometimes?
I'm not sure of there record after 8 innings but the Mets just have to do a better job of holding a lead when they go into the 9th. Another tie game going into extra innings. Thanks Billy!! Whats Fernando Tatis diving for a ball with not chance to throw out the runner. Berkman isn't fast. Not good.
Good game for the kid Daniel Murphy. First at abat a hit. Nice!! Good catch at the wall and then doubling off Hunter Pence at second. Would have been nice if Billy could have preserved the win. Oh look there is Heilman to lose the game in the 10th.
Why can't the Mets score off the Astros bullpen? Are they some sort of All-Star Bullpen? Latroy Hawkins has a era over 5.00!!! Geoff Geary ....remember him when he was on the phillies . We lit him up then . Now he pitches 2 innings and doesn't give up a hit.

That was excruciating! I didn't get a chance to turn it on until the the ninth. Not only did Wagner blow it again, it was another aborted win for Johan. They have go to let Santana pitch later into games. This team has blow at least four wins for Santana.
I would love to see on a chart how many leads Johan has left to the bullpen and how many the pen has blown. If I am Johan, I am second guessing the trade that was made for me. Hey OMAR...where is the help for the PEN?
That game may be a season killer. I also doubt if the slow-healing Castro is day-to-day. Expect a lot of Cancel for the next 3 weeks or so. I don't agree with all of Manuel's moves, but you have to feel sorry for the man. Given no outfielders, retreads, and a burnt-out pen, it's a miracle he can even keep the team competetive enough to lose heartbreakers.
